I have been involved with the photographic industry for over 10 years; in retail, as a photographer,
and also as a consultant to businesses offering advice and training on kit and techniques.

My work is quite varied, as you can see from my galleries, although I have specialised in band, mushroom
and travel photography. I have just returned from a year travelling in the Caribbean, South America,
New Zealand and South East Asia, and so I am currently occupied scanning, editing and uploading
a selection of my 3000+ photographs.

I prefer working with film and using traditional techniques, although I do use digital for some experimental
work and I am perfectly happy working with both simultaneously.

I use Nikon digital and 35mm SLRs, lenses and flashguns (including an F100, D300, 24mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.8
SB-600 amongst others), a Nikon Coolscan IV LS40 35mm scanner and a Durst enlarger with Nikkor and
Rodenstock lenses. For editing I use Photoshop CS2 and a trusty Wacom CTE-640 graphics tablet.
